What To Expect
your first visit
Your initial appointment at Superior Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery will include a consultation explaining your diagnosis and the treatment options available to you. In some cases, we can perform the surgery on the same day as the consultation. In other cases, an evaluation and a second appointment for patients with a complex medical history or treatment plan is necessary.
Please keep in mind that a preoperative consultation and a physical examination are required for patients undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery. We will discuss any additional details about your surgery at your consultation.
If you have a medical condition that may be of concern, please alert the office prior to surgery. This includes diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.
Please note that all patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the time of the consultation.
